My name is Dan and I am a foodie.
Several years ago, I started picking up an interest in all things food. Since then, that interest has become increasingly serious and is now a defining part of my life.
For me, food and cooking is more than just providing sustenance. It is an expression of art and an expression of love.
I very much enjoy cooking for my wife, Jessica and our friends. We also very much enjoy going to restaurants , and have been very fortunate to have had the opportunity to enjoy tasting menus at some of the best restaurants in the country including Alinea, The French Laundry, and Restaraunt Daniel.
I also very much enjoy cooking at home and I always try to challenge myself to cook new things that might be outside of my comfort zone. I've been studying a lot of classical French technique recently, but I am interested in a global palette of flavors and approaches. I also dabble in modernist approaches from time to time.
